Dejazmach Wube continued his 6-year long, brutal military administration in the highlands. He constantly raided the lowlands. He used divide-and-rule strategy to create a wedge among the chiefs of his local subjects.
He also sought French and British support to gain advantage against his rival warlords in other regions south of Mereb Mellash. He is believed to have had ambitions to be emperor of Abyssinia.
